Job description
Our company seeks to hire qualified telecommunications engineers with relevant, current experience working for carriers in the developing world.
This is a vacancy for a part-time consulting position. This job will require a combination of telework from the candidate’s home location, and periodic personal consultations with our staff at our Los Angeles location, our satellite office in Bahrain, or one of our client’s locations in the Middle East, Europe, or Asia. There is no expectation of relocation.
The candidate is expected to use deep substantive expertise to provide advice and analysis to allow our clients to make determinations regarding entry into new telecommunications markets. Individuals hired for this position will be expected to maintain employment in their field of expertise for the duration of the contract with our company.
Skills
- While there is no minimum requirement for years of experience, the applicant should have an expertise in preferably large national or regional telecommunications networks, either through Inside Plant (ISP) or Outside Plant (OSP) work.
- We are interested in candidates with expertise on landlines, Internet Service Providers, and/or 3G/4G/5G/NGN mobile networks.
- The applicant must be currently employed in the target telecommunications sector in order to stay up to date on the latest trends.• The applicant must have moderate English proficiency.
- The applicant must have moderate computer proficiency.
*Please note, we are not seeking to hire administrative employees (customer service representatives/billing executives etc) at this time.
Salary/Benefits
An individual hired for the position could expect to earn a monthly salary of approximately $1500-$2500 per month. Individuals who are hired will also receive a signing bonus and will have the opportunity for periodic performance bonuses. All travel/work-related expenses are also covered.
